HYUNDAI計畫於美國阿拉巴馬工廠投產全新Elantra車系！

一直以來，HYUNDAI品牌旗下的中型家庭房車銷售主力Elantra車系，將由今年秋季開始，首度由位於美國境內的阿拉巴馬州整車廠投產，全面供應包括加拿大、美國與墨西哥等國組成的北美汽車市場。
目前在北美汽車市場銷售的2010年式美規HYUNDAI Elantra車系，主要還是由韓國製造出口，根據最新外電消息指出，最快韓國原廠將在年底舉行的2010洛杉磯北美國際車展會場，發表全新2011年式改款Elantra車系，目前該新世代中型房車，已經在韓國本土以2011年式Avante車系之名發售。
HYUNDAI集團美國分公司總裁兼執行長 John Krafcik指出，HYUNDAI集團計畫進一步提升本地化生產的比例，而且繼Sonata中大型房車與Santa Fe跨界休旅車之後，Elantra將成為第三款在美國境內投產的新車。
稍早，Santa Fe美規車系也在美國喬治亞州境內的整車廠投產，而率先投產Sonata車系的阿拉巴馬工廠於2005年五月20日投產迄今，累積已經生產120萬輛汽車，而根據統計數據顯示，今年年八個月份，HYUNDAI共於美國境內銷售128,484輛汽車，比去年同期提升超過50%的比例，其中即將於美國境內投產的Elantra車系，新車銷售表現也比去年同期增加21%至90,960輛。
