HYUNDAI商用車將與北奔、南駿分別合作擴大中國市場投資！

目前，韓國最大汽車製造集團HYUNDAI，已經分別擁有北京現代與東風悅達起亞等二大合資乘用車產銷體系，在過去試圖與廣汽商用車集團合資失敗後（後來轉與日本HINO合資成立廣汽日野），最近HYUNDAI集團將以南北分進合擊的戰略重新拓展中國商用車市場佈局。
2009年HYUNDAI集團商用車部門，率先與內蒙古包頭北奔重汽建立中韓商用車體系，而且目前各項建設與計畫也在順利推動，北奔重汽也將在今年底前正式宣佈這項合資計畫。
但眼見乘用車南北二大合資體系，已經逐步於當地乘用車市場開疆拓土，所以HYUNDAI集團商用車部門，還計畫與四川省資陽市政府以及當地南駿汽車有限公司簽署合作合資協議，HYUNDAI集團商用車部門將與南駿汽車合資重組四川南駿汽車有限公司，並且宣布設立四川現代汽車有限公司。
由於根據 中國政府《汽車產業發展政策》，同一家外商僅能在中國成立二家同類產品的合資企業，這也代表著HYUNDAI集團商用車部門在南駿、北奔重汽合資之後，原有的廣汽現代商用車計畫將終止各項準備與運作。
四川現代汽車生產基地項目將由HYUNDAI集團商用車部門同南駿汽車合資建設，雙方將按各50%的比例共同投資30億人民幣，設立四川現代汽車有限公司，目標在2013年產銷HYUNDAI商用車約每年達20萬輛、2017達40萬輛、2020年產銷整車達70萬輛的規模。
