根據最新消息指出，北京現代第三工廠最快將於2012年正式竣工投產，而且也將投產多款新車，包括搭載汽油引擎的乘用車款，以及導入技術合作對象韓國 HYUNDAI自動車旗下的一款混合動力新車。

在2012年北京現代第三工廠落成初期，北京現代將於此投產包括HYUNDAI i30掀背車、ix35跨界休旅車、瑞納Verna小型房車，以及YF Sonata大型房車，前述四款新車主要均搭載汽油引擎。
另外北京現代三廠也將首度投產由韓國原廠技術合作的油電混合動力新車，以Elantra中型乘用車系衍生的混合動力新車，屆時更將率先投入北京當地的計程車上路營運。

根據最新消息指出，在年底前舉行的2010廣州國際車展會場，北京現代還將首演即將投產的瑞納 Verna掀背五門新車，屆時這款新車也將有部分產能，移至目前正在施工、未於北京市順義區的第三整車廠投產。
在這場車展中，將由北京現代投產的新一代YF Sonata車系，國產化原型車亦將在此發表，同樣也將在明年投產上市，2012年五月順義三廠投產時也將加入行列，北京現代三廠計畫初期年產新車約15萬輛左右。
