戴帽子的新寵，HYUNDAI獲選2010年英國警方優選供應車廠！

英國警用車的沿革，從1950、1960年代的MORRIS Minor與FORD Anglias，到70年代FORD Consul與ROVER 3500，80年代ROVER SD1與LAND ROVER，都還是可以看到純正英國品牌在為人民公僕服勤，直到了80年代末期ROVER開始用HONDA生產的車型，而英國車也在90年代開始銷往當時的戰敗國德國，英國警察便開始轉型使用像是MITSUBISHI等進口品牌作為警車，像是日前最新2010年被英國警方選中的，就是歐化相當完全的韓國車廠HYUNDAI。

ROVER 3500
|
日前英國國家警察車隊經理協會（National Association of Police Fleet Managers ）評選HYUNDAI為2010年優選供應車廠，讓HYUNDAI的新車型可以販售給警方，數量之大包含每年2000輛販售給倫敦都會交通警察單位，以及另外7800輛的配額提供給倫敦以外的勤務使用；根據HYUNDA英國行銷總監Tony Whitehorn表示：「消費者買車當然都要確定花錢之後能夠得到最理想的配備，而政府以納稅人的錢每年夠買上千輛的車更是不能馬虎，包含品質、穩定與二手折讓的價格都是HYUNDAI算計其中的原因。」
而HYUNDAI未來將提供給警方使用的車型包含了i20、i30、ix35、Santa Fe與iLoad箱型車，而像是官方首度公布的警裝仕樣ix35就與當初LAND ROVER有相同的塗裝，也算是警用都會SUV的傳承。
