HYUNDAI北京第三工廠奠基，中國地區產能將提升至百萬規模

HYUNDAI旗下的ix35，近來也在國內拿下了車訊風雲獎的殊榮。

目前位居全球第五大汽車集團的韓國HYUNDAI集團，目前在中國北京順義區為由中國與韓國企業共同合資的北京現代汽車，舉行第三座工廠的奠基儀式，總投資金額為65億人民幣（約300億台幣），預料屆時完工後，將能夠讓HYUNDAI品牌在中國的生產能量上升至100萬輛的水準，對於HUNDAI佈局中國市場具有舉足輕重的戰略意義。

在10月間舉行的第17屆五中全會中，通過了十二五（第12個五年計畫）的規劃建議，認為汽車產業仍是中國經濟發展的重點所在焦點，而且汽車產業也同時是北京市的五大支柱產業之一，因此汽車產業的發展也將對北京當地的經濟發展有著相當重要的推動效果，所以北京現代的第三新廠的動工，對於北京的重要性自然不言可喻，因此這場奠基儀式也吸引了相當多的高層政要一同出席。
據了解，北京現代的第三工廠預計在2012年便能竣工投產，第一階段的年生產能力為30萬輛整車與20具引擎的規模，第二階段的生產能力將達到40萬輛整車與40萬具引擎的水準，屆時再整合原先的兩座廠房，北京現代的總產能便能提升至100萬輛的水準。而計畫生產的車型則包括有i30掀背車、ix35、Verna小型房車與YF Sonata中型房車，甚至還有以Elantra為衍生基礎的油電混合動力新車，屆時有可能會率先投入北京當地的計程車上路營運。
對此有當地產業分析師認為，北京現代的積極作為對於北京的汽車工業有著顯著的拉升效益，估計北京現代在過去8年已帶動近千億元人民幣的產業群落發展。而且目前北京現代在中國乘用車市場以穩居第五名的態勢，僅次於上海通用五菱、上海通用、上海大眾、一汽大眾與重慶長安，累積前10個月的銷售成績接近57萬輛的水準，比起一汽豐田在中國的39.8萬輛要明顯領先許多。
此外，HYUNDAI在全球市場的表現也有相當程度的斬獲，例如在歐洲地區今年1-10月的銷售量便以521,369輛（包含KIA品牌）、約4.5％的市佔率，成功擠下TOYOTA成為當地最暢銷的亞洲汽車製造商，而且HYUNDAI也在美國有著高達21％的亮麗表現。
