小幅升級更安全，新年式HYUNDAI Veloster北美正式發表

自從2011年底特律車展中亮相後，Veloster便成為HYUNDAI品牌旗下最具吸引力的代表車款，在原廠的操作之下、兩年多來也陸續推出多樣化的改裝範本與競技版本，自然也深深抓住了年輕族群的心，為了因應消費大眾對於安全配備的需求日益高漲，新年式的HYUNDAI Veloster將針對1.6L渦輪增壓車型進行全方位的安全升級。
以獨特的車門設計成功吸睛的Veloster，有別於傳統掀背車只有三門或五門的制式設定，而是採用了十分特殊的1+2+1設計，讓這輛掀背小跑車擁有獨樹一格的「四門」外型。即使採用不對稱式的車門設計，但Veloster卻沒有任何突兀的視覺感受，經由巧妙的設計將右後門把手隱藏起來，結合了雙門跑車的帥氣、四門房車的空間，以及掀背車的便利。
為了增加行駛上的安全性，新年式Veloster外觀在強烈動能的「流體雕塑」設計概念下，增添了LED日行燈、盲點偵測系統及倒車顯示鏡頭等配備，並特別為搭載在車上的BlueLink車用系統提供額外三年的免費遠端道路救援服務，可為駕駛人及車輛在第一時間獲得最完善的照顧，另外新年式Veloster Turbo上將新增扭力分配控制系統（Torque Vectoring Control，TVC），提供更佳理想的操控表現。
即將在2014年台北車展上亮相的HYUNDAI Veloster，將搭載的Gamma 1.6 T-GDI直四渦輪增壓汽油引擎，在雙渦流增壓、缸內直噴及可變氣門正時等技術加持之後，動力輸出達到了201hp/6000rpm最大馬力與27.0kgm/1750rpm峰值扭力，除了擁有純正的鋼砲血統外，更有著市區約11.42km/L、高速16.07km/L的高水準油耗表現。
