    提升定位還是另有計謀,新年式HYUNDAI Genesis Coupe捨去2.0L動力車型

HYUNDAI現行於台灣被熱烈討論的雙門小跑車Veloster Turbo,其實在韓國以及美國市場還有一輛其車型、動力都還要更高定位雙門跑車:Genesis Coupe,無論它的車身尺碼還是問市的時間都比Veloster Turbo還要早些,不過在銷售市場上的定位卻是兩種不同客層(Veloster Turbo前驅、Genesis Coupe後驅),所以兩輛車都有特定銷售族群。

2011年導入Fluidic Sculptur(流體雕塑)設計語彙問市,以小改款之姿登場的Genesis Coupe,動力仍維持既有的2.0L渦輪增壓引擎,以及旗艦車型3.8L V6汽油引擎兩種。不過日前美國HYUNDAI發言人Derek Joyce已經確認,預計稍晚推出的新年式Genesis Coupe,將捨去2.0L渦輪動力只保留3.8L V6汽油引擎單一選項。

然而令人那悶的是,Veloster Turbo(1.6L Turbo)以及Genesis Coupe(2.0T)在美國市場上並無動力重疊的情況,但原廠仍取消Genesis Coupe較節能版本的2.0T,一方面除了能提升此車的銷售定位與FORD Mustang、CHEVROLET Camaro以及日本跑車NISSAN 370Z抗衡外,相信這多出來的空缺HYUNDAI可能有新的計畫在進行。

至於剩下的Genesis Coupe 3.8L V6,則依然維持348hp最大馬力與40.8kgm峰值扭力輸出,可在5.9秒內從靜止加速到100km/h,並提供6速手排或8速SHIFTRONICR手自排變速系統可選。但捨去2.0T車型後新年式Genesis Coupe的售價將會略為向上調整,不過Derek Joyce提到會導入更多配備來取得平衡。
