韓系後驅轎跑先驅HYUNDAI Genesis Coupe今年確定絕後？！

HYUNDAI自2009起便在北美有銷售一款四座雙門跑車－Genesis Coupé，相當亮眼的外型設計及舒適內裝吸引了當地不少年輕客群。然而，隨著HYUNDAI將旗下Genesis車系昇華為一個獨立品牌後，HYUNDAI也於日前宣布現行的Genesis Coupé將不會出現2017年式，Genesis Coupé於本年度結束生產後，將從此停產。
Genesis Coupé是HYUNDAI於2009年以2010年式發表的車款，並於2013年間發售小改款車型。HYUNDAI為Genesis Coupé提供了四缸渦輪和V6自然進氣兩種引擎選擇，讓Genesis Coupé擁有相當程度的性能表現。即便理論上對手直指FORD Mustang、CHEVROLET Camaro、DODGE Challenger，但Genesis Coupé在市場上的銷售客群其實蠻獨樹一格的。
不過，如果HYUNDAI打算停產Genesis Coupé，也就代表著短期內，HYUNDAI將不會生產任何後驅雙門車型。相對的，HYUNDAI也隨即表示將在GENESIS品牌下新增一款Coupé雙門車型。然而，值得注意的是，在GENESIS品牌旗下的Coupé車型將會以全新車款現身，在配備上也更加高階，而非做為現行Genesis Coupé的後繼車款。
倘若HYUNDAI公關經理的上訴言論成真，那們我們將可確定GENESIS品牌下只少會發行6款不同車型。目前已知有G90、G80、G70三款大小、級距不同的房車和兩款SUV車型，再加上日前發布的Coupé車款，GENESIS的品牌陣容如今變得更加齊全，不難看見其在中高階汽車市場上建立的勃勃野心。
