    〝高麗〞魔術師─HYUNDAI Matrix

韓國第一大廠HYUNDAI 汽車,近來於北美市場銷售頗有斬獲,其為搶進台灣市場,於HONDA與三陽分手之際與其簽約,並誓言重回國內前五大車廠,但初期由於國產化腳步尚未完成〈10月才會推出國產Elantra〉,因此打頭陣的任務就落在進口車款身上,而接下這個任務的便是由義大利設計大師─Pininfarina所設計的休旅車款Matrix。
初見Matrix第一個反應是,它實車比照片裡好看,充滿歐洲風味的線條,在大師的巧手刻劃下,Matrix看似平凡的外表下,流露出一絲絲的與眾不同,前後檔玻璃下方刻意折起的鈑件折線,有類似頸環的感覺,是其最具特色的部分。

我們所試駕的Matrix為1.8升頂級版本,使用一具排氣量1795c.c DOHC 16V鋁合金直列四缸引擎,最大馬力為123hp/6000rpm、最大扭力16.5kgm/4500rpm,搭配附OD檔之4速自排變速箱,帳面數據上並不突出,實地試駕,推動1285kg的車重,油門反應還算輕快,單人駕駛加速感順暢,原廠提供數據0~100km加速為12.7秒,以休旅車款來看算水準之內,若增加負重,就得另當別論了;操控部分,Matrix之懸吊設定為前麥花臣、後多連桿獨立懸吊,避震阻尼軟硬適中,駕駛感偏向歐系車風格,頗容易上手,舒適及操控兼具,高速換道穩定性不錯,側傾程度尚於可接受範圍內,並不會對駕駛者及乘客帶來不安。此外,附帶一提,Matrix所配置的前碟後鼓附ABS、EBD之煞車系統,煞停效果令人滿意,幾次由60km/h或80km/h左右之速度,急踩煞車,Matrix皆可於水準內的短時間及距離穩定的緊急煞停,為Matrix的安全性加分不少。
