既然是一輛外表酷炫的跑車,搭配2.0升排氣量引擎會不會不夠用?這或許是所有車迷對於2003年式新一代現代Coupe的最大質疑!
基本上現代全新Coupe所搭載的動力系統,國內引進的是較小排氣量的2.0升引擎,原廠頂級型的2.7升引擎,當然因為成本較高的問題短期內尚未引進,不過目前這具排氣量2.0升的直列四剛DOHC 16V引擎,在經過可變汽門系統CVVT的加持之後,最大馬力143hp與峰值扭力19.0kgm的輸出數據似乎與同排氣量的傳統房車相當,不過在原廠運動化團隊重新調校之後,不僅讓期運轉特性更偏向高轉速的跑車性格,但依然在中低轉速維持相當的扭力輸出水平,加上四速手自排變速系統的搭配,讓駕駛人更擁有較高的動力驅策自由,在中央電腦容許的轉速範圍內,無論是升降檔的速度與換檔品質均算是優異,而且反應也頗為直接。
懸吊系統沿用前麥花臣後多連桿附防傾桿的配置,避震器採用氣壓形式,阻尼設定並不是過於死硬的那一種,事實上Coupe在動態表現與坑洞處理方面,還具備頗類似於歐系車款的風格,加上以賽車化調校為依歸的原則,讓這具底盤呈現相當優異的穩定性,即使高速連續過彎都不會出現難以控制的感覺,從過去Coupe發展歷史看來,現代車廠已經逐漸掌握到該有的懸吊調校火侯,但是方向盤的路面回饋感應該可以更為明確一些將更臻完美!
